Apple Sauce
Apple Sauce is a really big thing in America, and I loved it. Kids would have little tubs in their lunch boxes. We sometimes had a big jar of it in the fridge and I used to go and sneak some from the jar.
We had one million and two apples so I decided to make some apple sauce. The recipe is based on one which I found here.
Ingredients:
3 lbs of apples - peeled, cored and cut into slices.
4 cups of water
A few slices of lemon peel
One lemons juice
Method:
Add your apples into a large saucepan. Add in the water, lemon juice and lemon peel. Leave to simmer for about 20-3o minutes, until the apples are soft. Mash them up until it is a puree.
